Day-by-Day Itinerary
12 Days TotalInto Azad Kashmir via Kohala and the Kashmir Waterfall, then up the Neelum Valley past Dhani Waterfall, the Neelum–Jhelum Dam and views of the Line of Control to Keran.
Up the valley beside the Neelum River, through forests and mountain views, to Sharda.
On through Kel into the Upper Neelum Valley to Taobutt for its green landscapes and quiet village.
Back to Kel for the chairlift and walk up to the meadows of Arang Kel, then down the valley to Kutton.
Via Muzaffarabad, Balakot and Kiwai Waterfall, then up the Kaghan Valley to Naran.
A long, early day over Babusar Top past Batakundi and Lulusar Lake, down to Chilas and the Raikot Bridge, past the Three Mountain Junction and along the Indus to Skardu, with a stop at Lower Kachura Lake.
Lower Kachura Lake, then the road to Basho Valley for its meadows, streams, waterfalls and rock formations, and back to Skardu.
Up past Sadpara Lake to the high Deosai Plains for Sheosar Lake, Bara Pani and wide views across the plateau, then back to Skardu.
To Manthokha Waterfall, then into the Ghanche Valley to Khaplu Fort and the Saling fish farm near Khaplu.
To the Sarfaranga Cold Desert and Shigar Fort, with time to explore the Shigar Valley.
The long return drive down the Indus and over Babusar Top to Naran.
Drive back via Kaghan, Balakot and Mansehra and drop-off in Islamabad. End of tour.
Islamabad → Muzaffarabad → Keran → Sharda → Taobutt → Arang Kel → Kutton → Naran → Skardu → Deosai → Khaplu → Shigar → Naran → Islamabad
About This Package
A 12-day family road trip that links the green valleys of Azad Kashmir with the mountains of Baltistan. The first days follow the Neelum Valley past Dhani Waterfall and the Neelum–Jhelum Dam to Keran, Sharda, Kel and Taobutt, with the meadows of Arang Kel and a night at Jagran Resort in Kutton.
From Kashmir you cross to the Kaghan Valley and over Babusar Top to Skardu for Lower Kachura Lake, Basho Valley and a day on the Deosai Plains, then Manthokha Waterfall and Khaplu, and the Sarfaranga Cold Desert and Shigar Fort before the drive home via Naran.
A private Honda BR-V with an experienced driver, fuel, tolls, parking and eleven nights in deluxe hotels with daily breakfast are included. The package is planned for four adults and two children under six, and runs in summer, when Babusar Top and Deosai are open.
