Day-by-Day Itinerary
10 Days TotalAbout 6 to 8 hours via Balakot, Kiwai Waterfall and the Kaghan Valley to Naran.
Past Batakundi and Lulusar Lake and over Babusar Top, then past the Three Mountain Junction to Skardu and Lower Kachura Lake.
Upper Kachura Lake, then up to Basho Valley for its valley and mountain scenery.
Manthokha Waterfall, then the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, Shigar Fort and the Amburiq Mosque.
A long drive down the Indus and up the Karakoram Highway, with views of Rakaposhi and the Three Mountain Junction, to Karimabad.
Altit and Baltit forts and the views from Eagle’s Nest at Duikar.
Attabad Lake, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and the Passu Cones on the way to the Khunjerab Pass, then back to Karimabad.
By jeep to Naltar Valley for its alpine lakes and pine forests, then on to Gilgit.
About 9 to 12 hours over Babusar Top to Naran.
Drive back via Kaghan, Balakot and Mansehra and drop-off in Islamabad. End of tour.

A 10-day premium family tour of Skardu and Hunza by road, with some of the best hotels in the north. You travel via Naran and Babusar Top to Skardu, with a lake-view family room at Shangrila Resort, a night at PC Legacy Skardu and a riverside villa at Khoj Resort in Shigar.
The days take in Upper and Lower Kachura, Basho Valley, Manthokha Waterfall, the Sarfaranga Cold Desert and Shigar Fort, then Hunza — Altit and Baltit forts, Eagle’s Nest, Attabad Lake, the Passu Cones and the Khunjerab Pass — and the lakes of Naltar Valley before the return via Gilgit and Naran.
A Toyota Corolla with an experienced driver, fuel, tolls, parking and nine nights in premium hotels with daily breakfast are included. The route over Babusar Top runs in summer.
