Day-by-Day Itinerary
12 Days TotalAn early start on the Karakoram Highway for the long, 12 to 14 hour drive to Chilas.
About 7 to 8 hours past the Three Mountain Junction and the Nanga Parbat and Rakaposhi viewpoints to Karimabad.
Altit and Baltit forts, Karimabad Bazaar and the old streets of Hunza, and the view from Eagle’s Nest at Duikar.
Past Attabad Lake, the Passu Cones and the Passu Glacier viewpoint to the Khunjerab Pass on the China border, road and weather permitting, then back to Hunza.
By jeep to Naltar Valley for its alpine lakes and pine forests, then on to Gilgit.
About 5 to 6 hours on the Jaglot–Skardu road beside the Indus.
About 3 to 4 hours into the Ghanche Valley for Khaplu Fort and the Saling fish farm.
Manthokha Waterfall, then Shigar for the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, the Amburiq Mosque and Shigar Fort.
About 1.5 hours by road, then around 50 minutes by 4×4 jeep up to the green landscapes of Basho Valley.
Through the countryside around Skardu to the quiet Chunda Valley for its mountain views.
The long return drive, around 10 to 12 hours, down the Karakoram Highway to Besham.
Drive back to Islamabad and drop-off at your address. End of tour.

About This Package
A 12-day deluxe family tour of Gilgit-Baltistan that goes both ways on the Karakoram Highway instead of over Babusar Top. You break the long first drive in Chilas, then reach Hunza for Altit and Baltit forts, Eagle’s Nest, Attabad Lake, the Passu Cones and a day trip to the Khunjerab Pass.
From Hunza you visit the lakes of Naltar Valley by jeep, stay in Gilgit, and take the Jaglot–Skardu road to Baltistan for Khaplu, Manthokha Waterfall, the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, Shigar Fort, Basho Valley and Chunda Valley, before returning via Besham.
A Toyota Corolla or Yaris with an experienced driver, fuel, tolls, parking and eleven nights in deluxe hotels with daily breakfast are included for four persons.
