Day-by-Day Itinerary
6 Days TotalThe drive north through the Murree hills is the perfect start. Stretch your legs on Mall Road in Murree, then continue through Kohala, with its famous river and mountain view from the bridge, into Azad Kashmir.
After breakfast, follow the Neelum River through Muzaffarabad and deeper into the valley. Stop at Dhani Waterfall in the forest, pass Panjgran and Nauseri, and arrive at Kutton for Kutton Waterfall and an evening walk by the Jagran stream.
One of the most beautiful drives in Pakistan, with the Neelum River beside you all the way, hillside villages, wooden bridges and the Line of Control in the mountains across the river. Explore Keran’s riverbank, then take the short drive up to Upper Neelum.
A jeep ride along a rugged track, then a 30 to 40 minute hike into Baboon Valley for lush meadows, clear streams and mountain views all around. Bring a packed lunch and take your time.
Head back down the valley to Pir Chinasi for wide views over the Jhelum Valley and the mountains beyond. Bring a light jacket, as it can be cold at the top even in August. Evening free in Muzaffarabad.
Visit the historic Red Fort (Lal Qila) by the river in Muzaffarabad, then stop at Dulai Waterfall before the drive home to Islamabad. End of tour.
