Day-by-Day Itinerary
7 Days TotalFly to Gilgit and drive about 100 km, 2 to 3 hours, on the Karakoram Highway to Karimabad. Visit Altit and Baltit forts, Eagle’s Nest viewpoint and Karimabad Bazaar. Overnight: Karimabad.
Attabad Lake, Gulmit, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge, the Passu Cones and Passu village. Overnight: Karimabad.
After breakfast, via Sost to Khunjerab Pass on the China border. Overnight: Karimabad.
Drive to Skardu, stopping at Upper and Lower Kachura lakes for boating, views and photos, and Soq Valley. Overnight: Skardu.
The Sarfaranga cold desert, Blind Lake, Shigar Fort and Hashupi Garden. Overnight: Skardu.
Khaplu Palace, the Chaqchan Mosque, Khanqah-e-Moalla, the organic rest house at Ghowari and Crystal Lake at Saling. Overnight: Skardu.
Visit Sadpara Lake, then fly back to Islamabad from Skardu. End of tour.
