Day-by-Day Itinerary
13 Days TotalA 6 to 8 hour drive with stops at the Makra Peak viewpoint, Kiwai Waterfall, the trout farm at Mahandri and the Kaghan glaciers, with an optional jeep trip to Saif-ul-Malook Lake. Overnight: Naran.
A zipline and rafting on the Kunhar 5 km past Naran, Sohni Waterfall, breakfast at Besal, Payala Lake at Jalkhad, Lulusar Lake, the zipline and cycling at Babusar Top and the Nanga Parbat viewpoint at Jaglot. Overnight: Gilgit.
Drive to Nomal and take a jeep on the 4×4 track to Naltar for Blue Lake, Firoza Lake and Satrangi (Rainbow) Lake, then on to Karimabad. Overnight: Karimabad.
Breakfast and photos at Luxus Hunza, a private boat and jet skis on Attabad Lake, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge, Borith Lake and the Batura Glacier, and Gulmit village. Overnight: Karimabad or Luxus Hunza.
Past the Passu Cones and glacier and Sost to Khunjerab Top on the China border. Overnight: Karimabad.
Explore Altit and Baltit forts, Karimabad Bazaar for dried fruit and handicrafts, and Eagle’s Nest viewpoint at Duikar for the sunset and views of Ladyfinger Peak. Overnight: Karimabad.
A full day’s drive via Gilgit and Jaglot to Skardu, stopping at Upper and Lower Kachura lakes and Shangri-La Resort for boating and photos. Overnight: Skardu.
A jeep safari, paramotor and quad bikes at the Sarfaranga cold desert, Blind Lake, the historic Shigar Fort and the apricot and cherry orchards of Hashupi Garden. Overnight: Skardu.
On the 4×4 track to Basho Valley for a hike, green meadows, the streams and river, with camping, a bonfire, refreshments and a barbecue available. Overnight: Skardu.
Khaplu Palace, Khanqah-e-Moalla, the organic rest house at Ghowari and Crystal Lake at Sogha. Overnight: Skardu.
Visit Sadpara Lake, then Manthoka Waterfall for refreshments and photos. Overnight: Skardu.
Drive back over Babusar Top to Naran. Overnight: Naran.
Return to Islamabad. End of tour.
